9" x 12" (unframed) Alcohol Inks on Yupo paper. This image began as just spots on the paper that looked to me like snowy background. I wanted to use the paper so I added the mountains. Didn't look complete so added the water... then the foreground needed something. I was so please with the results seeing as how I had no idea where it would lead!

Artist Statement
I began using the alcohol inks by painting simple landscapes, pouring out the different colors and having the natural flow of the inks create valleys, waterways and mountains. As I became more comfortable with them, I became more ambitious and wanted to develop more realism in the pieces. I still experiment a lot though, going from detailed work to very abstract pieces. There is so much opportunity for self expression and wildly different results with this medium.
